Joe Mixon makes it clear: 'give it 100 or stay home'

At a time when Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green has had to publicly say guys need to stop pointing fingers at each other, he’s also leading by example by getting back out there instead of letting himself get shut down for the year.

Mixon is following suit and had a telling interview with Paul Dehner. Jr. of the Cincinnati Enquirer.

“You’re going to know who is going to let up and (who will) go play 100 percent,” Mixon said. “You’re going to know who’s shutting it down. At the end of the day, it’s how bad do you want it? Either go out and give it 100 or stay home. Don’t show up.

Mixon, along with Tyler Boyd, was one of the only guys visibly putting up a fight for most of the team’s blowout loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 12.

Next up is a visit from the Denver Broncos, where the 5-6 Bengals will have a backup quarterback under center, an unknown at left tackle and plenty of other fill-ins for injured players.

At the least, expect No. 28 to keep giving it his all. He might have something to say after the game too if he gets the sense people around him aren’t matching his energy.
